SeaPak - Chopped Open Your Basket Franchise
Inspired by Food Network's hit series Chopped --this vignette franchise--Chopped Open Your Basket, organically integrates a sponsor product into a mini episode of Chopped. In this episode, SeaPak™ Shrimp Scampi is is the integrated product. During my career at Food Network, I produced over a dozen Chopped Open Your Basket spots for brands that include: Tyson®, Sargento®, The National Pork Board, Better Than Bouillon®, and Hyundai.
Subaru - Cooking Channel Marketplace Vignette Franchise
This Cooking Channel branded vignette series, "The Marketplace," features an integration with Subaru, organically weaving various angles of the Subaru Outback into a personal story about life on a family farm. This was a fun shoot, as a mobile media village included a barn location with some very feisty chickens.
Disney & Pixar's Coco - Holiday Baking Championship Vignette
Holiday Baking Championship's Lorraine Pascale shares her passion and inspiration, drawing similarities to the character Coco from Disney & Pixar's animated film by the same name. Pre-interviewing Lorraine to write a script in her voice, finding just the right film footage to support her narrative, and sprinkling in B-roll to showcase Lorraine's baking skills - all came together in this evocative spot.
Fox's Ferdinand - Holiday Baking Championship Vignette
Cupcakes get mixed with animation in this custom vignette for Food Network's Holiday Baking Championship series, presenting Fox’s family film, Ferdinand. This seamless integration features a recipe for a bouquet of flower-shaped cupcakes, highlighted by keyable animated characters, inspired by the flower-sniffing bull Ferdinand. My challenge was to turn key recipe steps into catchy copy that flowed into the film footage, and left room for a promotional end-card.
Bank of America - Chopped Vignette
Inspired by Food Network's hit series Chopped, this integrated video with Bank of America takes viewers behind the scenes - featuring a culinary producer, Sara Hormi, on a quest to source unique ingredients for the show's iconic mystery baskets. Pre-interviewing Sara to get her unique POV for the script, and incorporating graphic thought-bubbles to enhance her narrative, made this a standout spot. Placing the BankAmericard on the counter for the end-tag took many takes, to get it just right.
Buick - Food Network Star Vignette Series
Each week for the duration of the Food Network Star season, I produced a Buick integrated on-air and digital spot for the hit series, showcasing interview footage of finalists sharing inspiration on "the road to culinary stardom," set against a backdrop of various angles of the Buick Enclave, while incorporating episodic B-roll to highlight the weekly series. I produced Food Network Star car-integrated vignettes from 2012-2017.
Walmart - Cake Wars Christmas Vignette
This vignette thematically ties the Food Network series, Cake Wars Christmas, to Walmart's priority positioning - homemade food gifts. I worked with the culinary team to develop the snowman cupcake treat recipe, culling it down to the essentials for scripting. Stop-motion made this spot really come to life in the most cute and compelling way.
Disney - Giada at Home Vignette
Giada De Laurentiis shares inspiration, revealing how she found her voice through food and cooking. Integrating footage from Disney's, The Little Mermaid to seamlessly play-off of Giada's personal narrative, along with B-roll of her hit series, this uplifting vignette promotes the film's release on Blu-Ray and Digital. Shot on location in beautiful Malibu, California.
Food Network + Kohl's Custom Commercial
This custom commercial showcases Food Network Kohl's products in a fun and playful narrative. It leverages the Food Network brand to reach a targeted consumer audience, to help increase sales and customer engagement for Kohl's. I served as the creative lead, producing vignettes quarterly for this 360 campaign from 2017-2020.
Sherwin-Williams Custom Commercial
The challenge was to promote the Sherwin-Williams Color ID Quiz, and make it appetizing for a Food Network audience. To achieve this, we cast two chefs -- pre-interviewing them to format a script that showcased their distinct cooking styles, and individual Sherwin-Williams Color ID personalities. Employing green screen, we keyed-in various paint colors to the walls and kitchen island, enhancing the narrative, while adding color swatch graphics to further hone-in on the Color ID aspect.
Florida's Natural Custom Commercial
In this custom commercial, Food Network host Damaris Phillips joins Citrus Grower Lindsay Raley from Florida’s Natural, on a behind-the-scenes tour of a family-owned orange grove. Pre-interviewing them individually to create a script where natural dialogue can flow, the spot really came together with the beautiful aerial grove shots captured by a drone. Fun fact - the oranges were not in peak season and required some digital enhancement.
Can Manufacturer's Institute Custom Commercial
This custom commercial for the Can Manufacturer's Institute features Cooking Channel Host Kelsey Nixon, as she takes viewers behind the scenes to reveal how fresh corn goes from the field, to getting packed and sealed in cans. Going inside a corn manufacturing plant in Minnesota to shoot the B-roll was an unforgettable experience that required wearing a hairnet, hardhat, goggles, ear plugs and rubber boots.
Food Network + Kohl's Marketing Reel
This case study reel highlights the Food Network Kohl's 360 campaign. In addition to writing and producing the reel, I produced the individual on-air vignettes and the Snapchat videos featured in the reel. I worked on the quarterly Food Network Kohl's campaign from 2017-2020.
Volkswagen - Food Network Star Marketing Reel
This sizzle reel highlights the 360 campaign featuring Volkswagen's integration into the Food Network Star series. I served as the creative lead and supervising producer for the FN Star Marketing Reel, featuring a car integration, for three seasons of the series.
